Radian-II Intelligent System Controller
Traditional Control Systems in CNC machines today use multiple controllers and PLCs to control the machines. This methodology has multiple down sides such as being hard to diagnose, inability to easily add or modify features of the machine, limitation in automation capabilities, and costly service visits. After years of experience in the laser industry, Radian has developed a unique and self-contained laser control system which overcomes our customer’s precision, service, and automation needs in a single board control system.
Some of the unique characteristics of this controller are comprised but not limited to:
3-Axis Scan Head interface
(MOTF) Mark on the Fly capability
3D Surface Marking and Deep Engraving Capability
OTA (over the air software update) capability
Ability for custom firmware development
.Net, C++ API, and Custom End-user Scripting language
Tethered and Stand-alone operation with Dynamic Object manipulation capability (serialization, barcodes, on the fly hatching, etc…)
Multi-Processor architecture for Speed, Reliability, and automation capability enhancement
Real-time processing engine for precise, synchronized scanner movement and laser control
Bus based subsystem support for I/O and submodule expansion
A variety of modern communication interfaces for expandability and ease of automation
Real Time system and subsystem health monitoring ability
Network based control
Touch Screen HMI Interface
Multiple levels of safety logic and interlocks to ensure the safety of the operators.
